Michigan State vs. Maryland point-spread released

Seems thing to have improved in East Lansing over the weekend. Michigan State responds after an embarrassing loss to Michigan last week with a 23-13 win over Purdue on Saturday. They did so mostly on the bleach-blonde locks of redshirt Freshman Rocky Lombardi. Lombardi threw for 26 completions on 46 tries, for 318 yards and 2 TDs. He also put up a zero in the INT column. MSU’s offense definitely seemed to respond better in all aspects with Lombardi under center. He seemed to have great leadership qualities as well as his stat line.

The Spartans will travel to Maryland, who are coming off an absolute stomping of Illinois this past week, dominating 63-33. With both teams being in the East Division and having identical conference and overall records, this is definitely a MUST WIN for both.

Vegas insider has the Spartans favored on the road by 3 points.

By most calculations, this should be a low scoring game. Both teams struggle in the passing game. The ground and pound is what poses the interesting part of the matchup. Maryland’s rush offense is number 11 in the country, while MSU’s run defense still sits atop the nation, at No. 1. The over/under hasn’t been released yet, but we assume it’ll be on the low side.

BREAKING: Michigan vs. Penn State point-spread revealed

The No. 5 Wolverines will be coming in off of a bye week after defeating Michigan State a week ago in East Lansing, while No. 14 Penn State enters the contest off of back-to-back wins over Indiana and Iowa.

According to Vegas Insider, Michigan has opened as an 11-point favorite over the Nittany Lions.

With a win, Michigan would move to 6-0 in the Big Ten East and they would continue to control their own destiny as far as a trip to the Big Ten Championship game goes.
