When Shea Patterson officially made it known he would be transferring to the University of Michigan, Wolverines’ fans hoped he would lead the team to the next level.
So far in 2018 that is exactly what Patterson has done as the Wolverines have won nine straight games and have put themselves in a position to win the Big Ten and go to the College Football Playoff.
But one question that has been circulating the season is whether or not Paterson would be back at Michigan in 2019 or if you would choose to enter the NFL draft.
Well, according to Bleacher Report, their sources have indicated that Patterson has a made a decision on his future. According to that report, Paterson is expected to finish out this season at Michigan and then declare for the NFL Draft.

Another underclassman quarterback expected to declare is Michigan’s Shea Patterson. The source explained that Patterson and Haskins both feel they can drive their stock up in this class and will benefit by not competing with the 2020 group that includes Jake Fromm and Tua Tagovailoa. Patterson, a transfer from Ole Miss, also has prized recruit Dylan McCaffrey behind him on the depth chart and looking poised to play next fall. This could, of course, change, but currently, multiple sources expect Michigan to lose Patterson.
Despite this report by Bleacher Report, we would like to stress that this is just a rumor at this point as Patterson has not made an official statement.
Patterson will lead the Wolverines today at the big house against the Indiana Hoosiers. On November 24, Michigan will play in Columbus, Ohio against the Ohio State Buckeyes with the winner going to the Big Ten Championship game. This is of course assuming that Ohio State wins today.
