The Detroit Pistons are on a hot streak and things could get even better. Luke Kennard is slated to make his first rehab start for the Grand Rapids Drive this Friday.

The Pistons have seven wins in their last ten games and have been playing a much more intelligent brand of basketball. They have managed to get outstanding play from Blake Griffin who is averaging 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Andre Drummond has been a consistent presence in the paint leading the league averaging 16 rebounds per game. The recent surge in scoring from Reggie Jackson has also been a big spark. Adding Kennard back into the rotation will add depth and another threat from deep. Currently, the Pistons are sitting 26th in the NBA from behind the long line and any three-point threat would be a welcome addition to a team that has been very good in the paint but inconsistent shooting outside.
The Pistons occupy the 5th seed in the East by virtue of having played fewer games than everyone in the conference, but this is a likely landing spot for them in the playoff picture as the Celtics will more than likely make up some ground.
This weekend will mark the end of the first quarter of the season when the Pistons host the Bulls and Warriors on Friday and Saturday respectively. If they can split those two games it would be a very successful first quarter grade. Luke Kennard returning to the lineup soon after that could be the catalyst that keeps the solid performances coming through the All-Star Break.

Ndamukong Suh continues to throw shade at Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford
Back in October Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh took to Instagram to reveal that Jared Goffis the best quarterback he has ever played with.
“‘If only you weren’t my QB,’” Suh wrote on Instagram. “Nah can’t do that to the best QB I’ve ever had @jaredgoff.”
Now, everybody is entitled to their own opinion but many Detroit Lions‘ fans took exception to Suh’s revelation because he also happened to play in Detroit with Matthew Stafford.
Since then, Goff has gone on to lead the Rams to a 10-1 record while posting a QB rating of 113.5 (No. 4 in the NFL) while the Lions sit at 4-7 with Stafford sporting a QB rating of 90.8 (No. 23 in NFL).
