REPORT: Former Detroit Lion calls out Matt Patricia

On Wednesday, Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia was late for a meeting with reporters…again.

According to reports, this is something that had happened quite often since Patricia was hired as the Lions head coach prior to the start of the season.

When Patricia finally arrived at the meeting, he was asked by a reporter how important punctuality is for a head football coach.

From Detroit Free Press:

“I think it just depends on the situation really,” Patricia said. “It depends. There’s a pretty busy schedule from those situations I think for everybody. I think fluidity is probably the best answer for you.”

Apparently, being on time is not too important to Patricia as according to an unnamed former Lions player, the head coach has no problem with making his players wait either.

The player was granted anonymity so as to avoid reprisal from other coaches or teams in the league.

“I think we definitely, in the game of football you have to be able to adapt and I think that’s a great kind of important way to just be able to handle all the situations that come up, is just kind of be fluid in all them,” Patricia said.

If the Detroit Lions make this BOLD combo of moves, they will win the NFC North in 2019

The 2018 version of the Detroit Lions sucked horribly. The head coach sucked. The offense sucked. The defense sucked. Heck, even the special teams sucked at times.

So, with that established, what can be done during the offseason to turn things around on time for the kickoff of the 2019 season?

Though I have a few ideas up my sleeve that would help the team to improve greatly, the biggest idea is one that will likely blow your mind. Mostly because I am not sure if it has ever been done before.

In my opinion, there is one BOLD move the Lions can make this offseason that will, in turn, put the wheels in motion for a 2019 NFC North Title run.

Now, I get it. You are probably already shaking your head and calling me a moron for thinking the Lions have any chance in 2019.

But they do.

IF and ONLY IF they make this BOLD move. (Technically it is a trio of moves but stick with me)
