Sorry, Lions fans – Megatron won’t be appearing on “Celebrity Big Brother”

For fans hoping to see former Detroit Lions star receiver Calvin Johnson appear on the second season of “Celebrity Big Brother,” they’ll have to put aside those hopes.

The rumors circulating last week that Johnson would be appearing on the show weren’t accurate; instead, former Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams will be appearing instead.

The show is in it’s second season and begins January 21.

Johnson has appeared on reality television in the past, finishing in 3rd place on “Dancing With the Stars” behind Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, and the runner-up, race car driver James Hinchcliffe.

Here is the anticipated cast, revealed during Sunday’s playoff game between the Chargers and Patriots:

-Ex-White House communication director Anthony Scaramucci

-“Blossom” actor Joey Lawrence

-Controversial swimmer Ryan Lochte

-Dina Lohan, mother of actress Lindsay Lohan

-O.J. Simpson trial witness Kato Kaelin

-Former wrestler Natalie Eva Marie

-Singer and reality TV regular Tamar Braxton

-Singer and “Real Housewives” vet Kandi Burruss

-comedian Tom Green

-track and bobsled star Lolo Jones

-“Mean Girls” movie co-star Jonathan Bennett

The Detroit Lions next offensive coordinator will be…

On Tuesday, the Detroit Lions FINALLY cut ties with offensive coordinator, Jim Bob Cooter. It’s a move they should have made a long time ago as the guy could not play call himself out of a paper bag. But we are talking about the Lions and as we know, they always keep players, coaches, and general managers for way too long.

So, now that Cooter is gone, the speculation has begun as to who will be the Lions, next offensive coordinator.

Within an hour of the announcement that the Lions had decided not to renew Cooter’s contract, the local media and bloggers started to release their pieces on potential candidates to replace him. Some listed as few as five candidates while others seemed to list every offensive coach they have ever heard of.
