Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis

When: Saturday, April 6th at 8:49 p.m.

Coming in

Michigan State ended Duke’s season in a thrilling 68-67 victory to advance to the Final Four. Texas Tech punched their ticket to Minneapolis defeating Gonzaga 75-69

Key for Michigan State

Turnovers: The Spartans did an excellent job taking care of the basketball against Duke. Michigan State will look to keep their turnover total down against Texas Tech. The Red Raiders cause a lot of turnovers and Michigan State will need to play smart.

Open looks: Texas Tech is a claustrophobic and swarming defensive basketball team. Where the Spartans can do some damage is feeding the post and kicking the ball back out for open shots. Matt McQuaid has had a quiet tournament offensively, and this would be a perfect game for him to hit some shots.

Key for Texas Tech

Rebound: The Red Raiders will have their hands full keeping Michigan State off the glass. If Texas Tech can keep pace on the boards with the Spartans, their chances of advancing to the National Championship increase tremendously.

Play the game not the moment: This is the first Final Four in the history of Texas Tech basketball. With Tom Izzo, Michigan State has been to eight alone. Will the Red Raiders be wide-eyed in college basketballs biggest weekend?

Prediction

Make no mistake about it; this will be a dogfight. Michigan State and Texas Tech are two tough-minded well-coached basketball teams. I believe the magic number will be 68. Whichever team can get around the 68 point total will advance to Monday and play for the National Championship.

Michigan State 68 Texas Tech 60
