Michigan basketball has taken a hit as Ignas Brazdeikis will reportedly declare himself eligible for the NBA draft.
Big Ten freshman of the year Ignas Brazdeikis (#48 in the ESPN 100) from Michigan will hire an agent and declare for the NBA Draft, he tells ESPN. "My intent is to be drafted this year as high as I can be and start my journey.” ESPN news story: https://t.co/EfJuqlYPh1

This doesn’t mean that Brazdeikis is definitely gone, however. A new NCAA rule allows players to declare for the draft and hire an agent but still return. Based on projections, however, it appears as if Brazdeikis will end up in the NBA next year.
Iggy set a record for Michigan by winning four Big Ten freshman of the week awards. He finished the season averaging 14.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
His departure will certainly leave a hole for Michigan to fill.
Brazdeikis projects as a late first round or early second round pick in the NBA draft. Do you think that he’s making the right call?
