Prior to the start of the 2017 season, Major League Baseball announced they would be implementing a new intentional walk rule. The new rule allows for a team to signal from the dugout when they want to intentionally walk a batter (Such as Miguel Cabrera), rather than having to throw the traditional four balls.
This rule got us to thinking and it did not take too long to remember when Cabrera, while with the Florida Marlins, turned a would be intentional walk into a go-ahead single.
Check it out for yourself. Just another case of Miggy being Miggy!
It's Miguel Cabrera's birthday!
Let's watch that time he was offered an intentional walk and said "nah." pic.twitter.com/MvDujabTiU
