Two weeks ago, Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera was the leading vote-getter at first base in the American League for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. Last week, he was overtaken by Athletics first baseman Yonder Alonso.
The latest update in the AL voting portion was made public on Tuesday and not only does Cabrera continue to slide, but there is a new leader in the clubhouse, the third in as many weeks.

Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is putting together a career year, with upticks in his slash line after a sluggish start in April. He’s arguably been the driving force behind a resurgent Royals team that has won eight of their last nine games overall.

The final voting update for both the American and National League that will be made public is Monday, June 26. Voting closes on Thursday, June 29. The MLB All-Star Game festivities will take place down in Miami this season, with the game being played on Tuesday, July 11.
