A Detroit Lions defensive player could potentially be in hot water after being accused of punching his ex-girlfriend.
According to TMZ, Lions safety Tavon Wilson is being sued by Alanda Jackson, who claims Wilson punched her in the face in 2016. Wilson denies the accusations.

Alanda claims she encountered Wilson at Bliss nightclub on May 14 — where she got into a verbal altercation with Wilson’s current girlfriend, Simone Leach.
While Alanda and Simone were arguing, Wilson allegedly grabbed Alanda, threw her to the ground and began punching her in the face.
In the lawsuit against Wilson, Jackson, who is the mother of Wilson’s 3-year-old daughter, also says that one of her female friends was stabbed by a member of Wilson’s entourage during the incident.
TMZ spoke to Wilson’s lawyer Mark Schamel and he claims there is a video which will prove the Lions safety innocent.
We spoke to Wilson’s lawyer, Mark Schamel, who tells us, “There’s video of the incident that shows Ms. Leach is attacked. Mr. Wilson is a witness, Ms. Leach is the victim and Ms. Jackson is the defendant.”
“She’s been charged criminally. Her civil claim is meritless and I think she will be convicted for this shortly.”

The Lions released the following written statement regarding the situation:
“We are aware of the report regarding Tavon Wilson. We have spoken to Tavon and we have also notified the league office of this matter. Due to the personal nature of this situation, we will have no additional comment at this time.”
Wilson, who is 27-years-old, was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 2nd Round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Lions prior to the 2016 regular season.
In 2016, Wilson started 14 games for the Lions, picking up 89 tackles and two interceptions.
