So much for an uneventful training camp for the Detroit Lions.
The Lions held their first training camp practice on Sunday and tight end Eric Ebron did not make it until the end as he left with an apparent hamstring injury.

With Ebron out with injury, Cole Wick and Darren Fells took over the reps with the Lions first-team offense for the remainder of the practice.
If you recall, Ebron also missed most of the 2016 training camp after spraining his ankle.
Though he only caught one touchdown pass last season, Ebron hauled in a career-high 61 passes for 711 yards, also a career high.
Ever since he was drafted by the Lions in the 1st Round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Ebron has always seemed to underachieve in the eyes of many fans, despite improving statistically in each of his first three seasons.
In early May, GM Bob Quinn the Lions exercised Ebron’s fifth-year option, which did not come as a surprise to many.
Notes:
-On Saturday, the Lions revealed that defensive end Ezekiel Ansah would begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Most think this decision is purely for precautionary measures and that Ansah will be ready to go for the regular season, which begins for the Lions on September 10th.
-The Lions announced on Sunday that T Greg Robinson and DE Cornelius Washington had both been removed from the Active-Non Football Injury list.
-The Lions also announced on Sunday that they had agreed to a two-year, $13 million contract extension with safety Glover Quin.
