If you are a fan of an NFL football team, preseason games probably make you nervous because of the chance of injuries.
Well, that’s exactly what happened on Sunday as Detroit Lions starting defensive end Kerry Hyder went down with what looked to be a lower leg injury.
The one thing you don't want to see in preseason – an injured player. Kerry Hyder, Lions' leading sacker, with leg injury. Carted off. Rough

Lions head coach Jim Caldwell came out onto the field to check on Hyder before he was carted off the field.

This is obviously very unfortunate news for the Lions and their fans as Hyder led the Lions with eight sacks during a breakout 2016 season. With Ezekiel Ansah currently on the PUP list, the Lions are already shorthanded at the defensive end position.
