Not even two weeks into the preseason and the Detroit Lions already have two major defensive injuries.

In the first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, defensive end Kerry Hyder tore his achilles and was announced out for the year.
Just a little over 24 hours later, it was announced that linebacker Brandon Copeland would meet the same fate. Copeland was never a huge part of the Lions defense, but since being drafted in 2015, Copeland has played in every single game for the Lions.
In his two NFL seasons, Copeland has amassed 30 tackles and half a sack.
