The Detroit Lions are coming off an impressive win at home against the Arizona Cardinals and as they prep themselves to travel to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Giants, there are some key injuries to look out for.

The following players were listed on Detroit’s initial week two injury report which was released on Thursday:

Ezekial Ansah – DE Limited Participation
Golden Tate – WR Limited Participation

Ezekiel Ansah:

Ziggy Ansah suited up and played in Week 1 against the Cardinals, but he definitely looked a bit rusty as he missed the whole preseason. Having Ziggy at 50-75 percent is better than not having him at all to help the pass rush. If he is unable to go, then it would be a huge blow to the defense and would not be able to help force Eli Manning to make bad plays.

Golden Tate:

Although listed as having limited participation in practice, Golden Tate claims that his finger “feels good”. As of right now, it is looking like Matthew Stafford won’t be short of his number one receiver in Monday Night’s game against the G-Men.

The Giants opened up as 6-point favorite over Leo when the spread was released earlier this week. That has since then been chopped at half heading into the weekend. New York will surely be coming out a little extra vamped up after being held to just a field goal last weekend against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Lions will be donning their new road uniforms on national television Monday night in the Meadowlands, looking to make it 2-0 on the season and 2-0 over quality NFC playoff contending teams.
