On Sunday afternoon, the undefeated Detroit Lions will face their biggest test yet when they welcome the undefeated Atlanta Falcons to Ford Field.

There is no question about it that the Lions defense will have their work cut out for them as they square off against what is arguably the best offense in the NFL.

But the Lions could have the biggest secret weapon of all when the Falcons have the football. The Ford Field fans!

Early Sunday morning, Lions wide receiver Golden Tate tweeted out a message for those Lions fans who will be in attendance at Ford Field. His tweet included a video clip from December 21st, 1997 when the Lions hosted the New York Jets at the Pontiac Silverdome.

The Silverdome crowd was so loud that day that the referee actually had to ask them to be quiet because the Jets players could not hear what was going on.

“Gameday!! Let’s take a page out fo the Old Silverdome’s book & make this our @Lions Gameday Atmosphere GOALS!!” Tate tweeted.

If the crowd is so loud that they blow the roof off of Ford Field, there is a good chance that quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense will make mistakes throughout the game. Those mistakes could be just what the Lions need to pull off the upset on Sunday afternoon.

With a win, the Lions will move to 3-0 on the season which will keep them at top of the standings in the NFC North, regardless of what the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bears do in Week 3.
