On Saturday night, Michigan State looked a lot more like the team that has completely owned Michigan for the past decade than the team that finished 3-9 in 2016. The Spartans came into the Big House and took advantage of one of the Wolverines worst offensive performances in team history as they escaped with a 14-10 victory.
As you can imagine, following the game, Twitter exploded with fans and former players from both sides giving their “instant analysis” of the game.
Former Michigan quarterback and team captain, Devin Gardner, rather than making excuses for his alma mater, decided to take a playful shot at Spartans fans.
For every state fan I hope for the next 365 days every pop you open to drink is already shaken up!

After a Michigan State fan responded that he prefers water, Gardner posted a follow-up tweet to make sure he covered all bases.
Furthermore if you don't drink pop I hope your phone charger has a shortage & it does the annoying charge-no charge, vibrate-no vibrate…

With all of the nastiness we found on Twitter last night and early this morning, from both fan bases, it was refreshing to see something more light-hearted.
