Ever since the moment Eric Ebron was selected by the Detroit Lions with the 10th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, he has been criticized by just about everybody.

Is it Ebron’s fault that he was drafted so high? Of course not, but he was and his output on the field has not come close to matching the money he is getting paid. He drops passes on a regular basis and does not seem to capable of taking a step forward as an NFL tight end.

On Sunday, in the Lions 27-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers, Ebron dropped a would-be touchdown after a pass sailed through Shaq Thompson’s hands and hit Ebron in the shoulder area. Sure, it was not like the Lions tight end was wide open, but there is no doubt he should have made the play. As soon as he dropped it, you could hear the boos loud and clear from the Ford Field stands.

In case you missed it…

Here was his reasoning for the drop, via ESPN.

“Shaq made a great play on that one, actually,” Ebron said after the game. “If you want to call it a drop, that’s cool. It hit my right shoulder but he should have intercepted that ball, it went right through his hands and blinded me from it. But I should have caught it. I guess if you want to say it, it’s professional football. I should have caught that.

Following the game, Ebron took to Twitter and had some advice for those who booed him on Sunday.

Well, Mr. Ebron, what is the other “half” you are referring to? Is it your blocking skills?Because you are not too good at that either.

Instead of calling out those who booed you, start catching the damn football!!!

H/T to @SteveHvac1 for the featured image on this post, it is amazing!
