In advance of the big game, the Lions are expected to announce a big roster move.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Pro Bowl kicker Matt Prater has agreed to a 3-year, $11.4 million extension (with a max of $12.15 million) to remain with the Lions.

There is no question about it that Prater is one of the best (if not the best) kickers in the NFL. Since coming to the Detroit Lions in 2014, he has connected on 84 of 98 field goal attempts (85.7%), including going 19 for 24 from 50 yards or more.

In his career, Prater has been named to two Pro Bowl teams (2013 and 2016) and owns the NFL record with a 64-yard field goal.
