Tonight the Detroit Lions take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football. Coming off of the bye week, the Lions should we well rested and ready for this monumental challenge.

The Lions went into their bye week having dropped three of their previous four games; a break that could not have come at a better time. Coming off the bye week, the Lions will be looking to get some key players back for their match up with the Steelers.

One key returned for the Lions with week is punter Sam Martin. Martin has not been active all season, tonight is his first game action. Having the ability to flip the field if the offense stalls is going to be huge in a game that will come down to field position and time of possession. Having our regular punter back will help these efforts immensely.

However, the team will be without a number of players, who couldn’t quite take advantage of the off week to recover from injuries.

Most notably not on the list is Golden Tate. Tate is Matthew Stafford’s most reliable target, and having him for tonight’s game is a definite plus. So far on the season, Tate has 36 catches for 363 yards and two touchdowns. Having him back in the lineup up is a good sign for the boys in Honolulu blue.

It’ll be all hands on deck for the Lions tonight against one of the more dangerous offenses in the league. A full team effort and the offense clicking on all cylinders will keep the team moving “forward down the field.” Let’s go Lions!
