Though we are just past the halfway point of the 2017 season, it’s always fun to discuss which players on the Detroit Lions are deserving of a Pro Bowl selection. NFL players are voted on by the coaches, the fans, and the players themselves.
The best teams in the league, not surprisingly, usually end up with the most participants in the Pro Bowl.
I truly believe that this Lions team is going to make a run and win the NFC North over the Minnesota Vikings. If they do, you can be sure they will have some players selected to the Pro Bowl team. Here is a list of five Detroit Lions who will be deserving of a Pro Bowl selection.
Darius Slay

Darius Slay has proven (again) that he is worthy of a Pro Bowl selection. He has locked down just about every single opponent he has faced and currently leads the entire NFL with four interceptions.

Matthew Stafford

If the Lions do end up winning the NFC North, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be Matthew Stafford that leads the way. There is no question about it that he is the most valuable player on the Lions and he could just be the most valuable in the entire NFL.

Glover Quin

Glover Quin is the leader of the Lions defense and he has been absolutely amazing so far in 2017. Through the Lions first nine games, he has three interceptions, two forced fumbles, a recovered fumble, and he has even scored a touchdown. Without Quin, it would be scary to think about what the defense would look like.

Golden Tate

Imagine being a quarterback and having a receiver on your team that not only catches just about everything thrown his way but also racks up extra yards after the catch. That’s exactly what Matthew Stafford has in Golden Tate. Tate leads the Lions with 56 catches for 659 yards and he has scored three touchdowns.
Was really hoping to get into the endzone for many obvious reasons, but this made it even more special! #SaluteToService #Thankful 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/dTy0Rs7l1Z

Jamal Agnew

This would be a surprise to many, but Lions rookie Jamal Agnew could get to the Pro Bowl as a special teams player. As you can see by the graphic below, Agnew has absolutely dominated his counterparts when it comes to returning punts. Youth may be against him when it comes to the voting but there is little question that he belongs in the Pro Bowl.
