For Michigan to beat undefeated Wisconsin on Saturday, most agreed the Wolverines had to play their best game of the season against the Badgers.

Little did they know, Michigan would also be playing against the referees.

Trailing 7-0 in the second quarter, Wolverines quarterback Brandon Peters hooked up with Donovan Peoples-Jones on what would have been a touchdown…had the referees got the call correct.

After calling the pass incomplete on the field, the referees reviewed the play to make sure they got it correct. But as you can see in the photo below, Peoples-Jones got his left foot down in bounds before the right foot landed out of bounds.

How about a closer look.

Of course, on the following play, Peters fumbled the ball as he tried to score, giving the ball back to Wisconsin.

Former Michigan star Jourdan Lewis reminds Wisconsin of one thing prior to Saturday’s game

Today, at high noon, the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines (AP Poll) will square off against the undefeated and No. 5 ranked Wisconsin Badgers. Though the Wolverines chances of winning the Big Ten East are very slim at this point, that does not mean they will not be fired up to spoil the Badgers hopes of going to the College Football Playoff.

When the same two programs met last season, it was No. 4 Michigan who unended No. 8 Wisconsin 14-7 at the Big House. Though the final score was close, the Wolverines dominated in terms of total yardage 349-159 as they moved to 5-0 on the season. The most memorable play of the game happened to come on Wisconsin’s final possession when cornerback Jourdan Lewis made one of the most iconic plays in Michigan football history.

  1. Yeah and Michigan did not rough the punter and the Wisconsin receiver did not secure the ball on the 3rd down conversion over the middle. Work a little bit on your objectivity dude….you just come off as a whiner
