Last week against the Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions managed to only have nine players on the field for a crucial third down play late in the game.

Here is the play in question, in case you missed the fiasco.

On Sunday, during their pregame show, FOX NFL showed a skit taking a shot at the Lions failure to put 11 men on the field.

Though we are sure that some fans will be mad at FOX NFL for ripping the Lions, everyone has to admit this skit was pretty darn funny.

The fact that FOX NFL went out of their way to embarrass the Lions on national television when the Cleveland Browns are doing their best to finish with an “imperfect” 0-16 season, just further magnifies the ineptitude of the Lions coaching staff.

REPORT: Jim Caldwell’s REAL contract extension details revealed

In late September, news broke that the Detroit Lions had given head coach Jim Caldwell a multi-year contract extension. The news certainly caught many Lions fans off-guard as most believed the 2017 season was a  “prove-it” year for Caldwell as it was supposed to be the final year of his contract.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, he has learned from “multiple sources” that Caldwell did receive an extension but it was only for 1-year, through the 2018 season.
Since becoming the head coach of the Lions prior to the 2014 season, Caldwell has led the team to a 33-27 regular season record, with playoff berths in two out of his first three seasons in Detroit.
