Aaron Glenn Explains Why He Turned Down New England Patriots

Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, one of the most in-demand head coaching candidates, recently discussed why he decided not to interview with the New England Patriots. Despite receiving interest from multiple teams, Glenn made it clear that the Patriots weren't the right fit for him.

“I’ve never felt anything against that organization. It just wasn’t the best situation for me,” Glenn explained when asked about turning down their interview request.

As Glenn continues to help the Lions prepare for their NFC Divisional Round matchup against the Washington Commanders, he also reflected on the interview process in general. “I think you learn a number of things each year you go through em,” he shared, noting the value of gaining experience each time.

When it comes to interviews, Glenn is unapologetically himself. In each interview, he's going to be himself, and his mindset is, ‘either you like it or you don’t.’”
