According to a report from The Jet Press, former Detroit Lions cornerback Dre Bly is reportedly joining the New York Jets’ coaching staff under defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
Bly, a two-time Pro Bowler who played four seasons with the Lions from 2003 to 2006, returned to Detroit in 2023 as the team’s cornerbacks coach. Despite his brief tenure with the Lions, Bly helped mentor the team’s secondary before he was replaced by Deshea Townsend as the new secondary coach.
Now, Bly will reunite with Glenn, his former defensive coordinator in Detroit, as part of the Jets’ revamped coaching staff. The move marks an exciting new chapter for Bly’s coaching career as he takes on a new challenge with one of the NFL’s top defensive units.
