Abdullah Injury Update; Levy Scratched vs. Minnesota

Injured Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah received a bit of good news ahead of Detroit’s Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

He recently visited with a foot specialist who declared his injured foot to be “structurally sound”. He’s been on injured reserve since tearing a ligament in his foot. The injury update was confirmed by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Abdullah’s next step in his recovery is rehab.

Meanwhile, linebacker DeAndre Levy has been declared inactive for Thursday’s game. Levy hasn’t played since Week 1 against Indianapolis, and has suffered with quad and knee problems all season.

In addition, offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas, guard Joe Dahl, running back Justin Forsett , quarterback Jake Rudock and safety Don Carey are all out for the Thanksgiving Day contest.
