On Sunday, during a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions got quite a scare when rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson attempted to hurdle a Chiefs defender before coming down hard in his shoulder and head.
Hockenson stayed down on the field for a while before finally leaving the field on a cart.
There is some good news being reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Lions will not be placing Hockenson in injured reserve.
Despite Lions’ TE T.J. Hockenson landing hard on his right shoulder and head Sunday and then being carted off, Detroit will not be placing its rookie first-round pick on injured reserve, per source.
