Heading into Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions RB Adrian Peterson had 3,057 rushing attempts in his career, which put him just five rushing attempts behind Lions’ legend Barry Sanders (3,062).
Well, it did not take long for Peterson to pass Sanders, as the Lions fed him the ball early and often. In fact, Peterson had 14 carries in the first half, giving him 3,071 for his career, moving him past Barry to No. 7 on the all-time list.
At 35-years-old, Peterson looks like he still has plenty of gas left in his tank to help the Lions running game.
