The Detroit Tigers have been giving up runs in serious fashion of late, having given up 49 opposition runs in their last four combined losses.
And now, it’s going to take a miracle for them to advance to the playoffs.
Following last night’s 14-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox, the chances of their advancing to the postseason stand at a paltry 1.8%.
Currently, they’re four games back of the New York Yankees for the AL’s eighth and final spot in the expanded 16-team playoff format.
They’ll have a chance to get back into the win column today at 2:10 against the White Sox.
