Aidan Hutchinson reacts to being finalist for Rookie of the Year award

The Detroit Lions‘ selection of Aidan Hutchinson as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft excited GM Brad Holmes, head coach Dan Campbell, and the rest of the Detroit War Room, as they had targeted him. Though some high draft picks fail to meet expectations, Hutchinson exceeded them and became one of the most productive rookies in the NFL for the 2022 season. Recently, he was named as a finalist for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in recognition of his success.

After finding out he had been named as a finalist for the Rookie of the Year award, Hutchinson took to Twitter to react.

“I’m so humbled and grateful to be recognized as a finalist among such an extraordinary rookie class,” Hutchinson tweeted. “Rookie year is one of the toughest. Nothing but respect for everyone who balled out.”
