Growing up, Detroit Lions rookie Aidan Hutchinson was a huge fan of Tom Brady, who at that time was winning multiple Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.
This coming Sunday, Hutchinson will have the opportunity to play where Brady played so many great games, Gillette Stadium.
What did Aidan Hutchinson say about his fandom for the Patriots?
Following Thursday’s practice, Aidan Hutchinson spoke to the media and he was asked about his fandom for the New England Patriots.
“I just liked Tom Brady. Every kid loves Tom Brady,” Hutchinson said following Thursday’s practice. “Hopefully, one of these days I’ll get the chance to hit Tom, but we’ll see. I would say that Patriots fandom that you referenced is no good.”

Hutchinson added that he grew up watching Tom Brady play in “those cold-ass” games and he hopes it’s cold in Foxborough this coming Sunday.
“Growing up, seeing Tom play there in those cold-ass games, so hopefully it gets a little cold,” Hutchinson said of playing at Gillette Stadium.
Looking at the weather report, Hutchinson will not get his wish as it is supposed to be 62 degrees and sunny.
Dan Campbell says Hutchinson has continued to improve
After the Detroit Lions’ embarrassing defensive performance against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Dan Campbell said Hutchinson has continued to improve a little bit each week.
Campbell also added that he and the coaching staff would look at how they could put Hutch in different spots so that he can have more success.
“Every week, he’s getting a little bit better,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said of Hutchinson. “I think he’s one of the players that I think we need to look long and hard about, ‘Do we need to move him in some different spots? Do we need to see if we can give him an opportunity to have more success?’

It is going to be very interesting to see how the Lions use Hutchinson this coming Sunday against the Patriots.
