Alabama just landed a big addition in the trenches, and they grabbed him straight out of Ann Arbor.
Former Michigan interior offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn has committed to the Crimson Tide. The former IMG Academy standout chose the Tide as he looks for a larger role heading into his sophomore season.

Strayhorn saw limited action as a freshman at Michigan in 2025, appearing in two games. He logged 89 offensive snaps, including 75 in the Wolverines’ bowl matchup against Texas.
Rated as the No. 32 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports Transfer Portal rankings and No. 558 overall, Strayhorn enters Alabama as a developmental piece with upside at a major position of need. He was a three-star recruit in the 2025 class and has long-standing ties to the Crimson Tide program after multiple visits during his recruitment.
There’s also a strong family connection to the SEC; Strayhorn’s father, Jason Strayhorn, played under Nick Saban at Michigan State in the 1990s.
For Alabama, this move strengthens depth on the interior offensive line while adding a player familiar with high-level competition thanks to his time at IMG Academy and Michigan. For Strayhorn, it’s a fresh start, and a chance to carve out a meaningful role in Tuscaloosa.
