Prior to the start of the 2022 regular season, not too many people believed the Detroit Lions would still be in the playoff hunt by the time Week 18 rolled around. But, that is exactly where CB Amani Oruwariye and the Lions are as they continue their preparations for their Sunday Night Football matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
What did Amani Oruwariye say about the Packers not respecting the Detroit Lions?
On Wednesday, Amani Oruwariye spoke to reporters and he said he does not believe the Packers have much respect for the Lions.
“There’s other things on the line as far as having a winning season, beating a division opponent that I feel like really doesn’t respect us as much as, respect us that much at all,” Oruwariye expressed. “So, there’s a lot of other motivating factors other than just, obviously, the playoff implications.”
After the Lions beat the Packers earlier in the season, Aaron Rodgers made a comment that none of us have forgotten.
“I think there’s a lot to it. But it really just comes down to execution,” Rodgers said about Green Bay’s inability to score this season. “The play comes in, we’ve got to execute it. There’s a lot of things that go into that. We had a couple of chances for sure. We can’t lose a game like that against that team, no. So that’s going to hurt for a while.
Nation, do you think the Lions will beat the Packers on Sunday Night Football?
