Just the other day, Detroit Pistons‘ center Andre Drummond made some very interesting comments at the Osgood Shootout in New Britain, CT.
“Free agent next summer,” Drummond said to reporters, “It should be fun, I’m excited. I think I’m the only one that has a big contract coming up.”
Those comments made many think that Drummond was planning to opt-out of the final year of his contract with the Pistons following the 2019-2020 season.
Well, on Tuesday, Drummond tried to clear the air about the comments he made.
“For those who are confused about my comment about free agency let me break this down… My point was I’m excited to go thru the process because I never been thru it, doesn’t mean I’m trying to leave detroit. I love it here.”
