While speaking with reporters, Tiger manager Ron Gardenhire was asked about the move and he said Stewart was “not swinging the bat” and “not hitting the ball” and that he would get plenty of at-bats in Toledo.

As far as a corresponding move goes, Gardenhire teased that it would be a “fun thing for Tigers' fans.”

Ever since Gardy made that comment, Twitter has blown up with speculation as to who may be getting the call-up to replace Stewart.

In my opinion, and I know Al Avila said it would not happen this year, I believe the Tigers are about to call up one of their top hitting prospects, Riley Greene.

Greene, who is just 19 years old, is the Tigers' No. 4 ranked prospect according to MLB.com.

During Spring Training, Greene seemed to make a big play just about every single day but the team decided that he still had plenty of work to do before he would be up with the Tigers.

Gardenhire said the corresponding move will be made on Wednesday, so we will know soon enough if Greene will get the call.

If it’s not Greene, the logical (probably more likely) choice would be OF Daz Cameron.
