During a Week 4 game against New England, Gore became the fourth player to rush for 15,000 career yards.
Now in third place, Gore is within striking distance (1,500 yards) from the No. 2 rusher, Walter Payton, and 3,000 yards from the all-time leader, Emmitt Smith.
Gore is a third round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2005, and also played with the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
