Barry Sanders suits up for the Lions one last time…sort of

Barry’s back! Well, maybe not but the Barry Sanders commercial prior to the kickoff of the Lions game has all of us at DSN reminiscing.

On a day that calls for all people to give thanks for the blessings in their lives, it is easy to see why Lions fans are loving this commercial. Any opportunity to think back on the 10 seasons that we were afforded the opportunity to watch one of the most dynamic and explosive players in NFL history is one that we should never pass up. Since the end of that 1998 season, the Lions have been near the bottom of the NFL in rushing every season. The performance of Kerryon Johnson this season has given all of us a glimmer of hope for the future.

However, Barry will always be hard to top!

If he had stayed in the NFL would he have been the greatest of all time? Is he still the best RB in history?

Always a great topic to debate.

What do you think, Nation? Do the Lions have a prayer of beating the Rams? Will they at least cover the point spread?
