The Chicago Bears broke the hearts of Detroit Lions fans everywhere Sunday afternoon, completing a 4th quarter comeback at Ford Field to stun Detroit and their fans, who were confined to watching the affair from their couches at home.

Chicago emerged victorious with a 27-23 win thanks to two 4th quarter touchdown passes from QB Mitchell Trubisky, combined with a dropped would-be winning TD pass from rookie RB D’Andre Swift.
“We knew we weren’t out of it when we were down 17,” Trubisky said.
And that’s some confidence that Chicago’s quarterback had, considering the odds they were up against.
Historically, NFL teams entering the 4th quarter with a 17+ point lead had won 779 of those previous 782 occasions, a comfortable 99.6% winning percentage. Only three other NFL teams had ended up on the losing side of things after entering the 4th quarter with that comfortable lead.
The Lions joined them today.
