The Cincinnati Bengals have pulled off a monumental upset, completing the biggest comeback in NFL championship game history.
They’ve dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs, earning a berth in the Super Bowl thanks to a historic overtime 18-PT comeback at Arrowhead Stadium, capped by the game-winning field goal:

The Chiefs jumped out to a 21-3 lead thanks to three touchdown throws from phenom quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the game’s first half, leading the Kansas City faithful to envision a 3rd straight Super Bowl trip. However, the Bengals would claw their way back into the game courtesy of a late 1st half touchdown from Samaje Perine.

Cincinnati was then able to stun the Chiefs thanks to DL B.J. Hill’s interception, directly sett up a touchdown by Ja’Marr Chase and subsequent 2-point conversion. A later field goal would give them the lead, only to have Kansas City once again tie the score on a late field goal of their own.
