The Best of Matthew Stafford

[tps_title]The Very Good: Stafford’s 2011-2012 Season[/tps_title]

After Stafford’s first two seasons in the league, he was beaten and battered due to shoulder injuries. Nobody expected Stafford to have a historic season in 2011-2012, but he did, and boy was it a thing of beauty. He absolutely went off, passing for 41 touchdowns and 5,038 yards, and becoming only the 4th ever player (now 5) to pass for over 5,000 yards in a single season. Stafford was named the NFL’s comeback player of the year in 2011, and even won an ESPY for best comeback athlete in 2012. He had it going on in 2011, and it was a season no Lions fan will forget.
