Arguably the greatest drive Stafford has ever had in his NFL career. Down 30-24 against the Dallas Cowboys with the ball on the Lions’ own 20 yard line, no timeouts remaining, and under a minute left in the game, Stafford and the Lions had to drive 80 yards to score. Stafford did just that; in one of the most heroic drives in recent memory, Stafford drives the offense down the field. A catch by Calvin Johnson would put the ball on the one-yard line. Stafford was yelling and pleading to get the Lions back to the line to spike the ball and stop the clock. Except he didn’t spike the ball; he ran it into the end zone. The Lions would win 31-30 on Stafford’s legendary drive. Hopefully, we’ll see more of this in the future from him.
