The search for a new head coach at Michigan continues to generate buzz, and one familiar name has now publicly acknowledged his involvement.

Speaking on the ongoing process, Biff Poggi, the team’s interim coach following the firing of Sherrone Moore, confirmed that he is indeed being considered for the Michigan head coaching job. According to a post shared by Isaiah Hole, Poggi revealed that he has already taken part in multiple interviews and conversations with the program.
“I’m being considered. I’ve had multiple interviews, multiple conversations… nobody knows what’s going to happen,” Poggi said.
While Poggi stopped short of indicating how close he may be to landing the job, his comments make it clear that Michigan’s coaching search remains fluid and far from settled. The lack of clarity underscores just how wide-open the process still is, even as the Wolverines weigh their options behind the scenes.
For now, Michigan fans will have to wait and see how the search unfolds, but Poggi’s admission confirms he’s very much in the mix as the program decides its next move.
