The #9 Michigan State Spartans celebrate Homecoming Day as they host the Wyoming Cowboys today at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Michigan State is favored by more than 4 touchdowns for the 2nd straight week, although we’re expecting a bit more fight out of Wyoming than we saw out of Eastern Michigan last week. This is the final non-conference test for MSU this season, so they’ll think of it as a last minute tune-up before they play Nebraska the following week. After Connor Cook took just 8 pass attempts against EMU, he’ll look to be much more part of the Spartans offensive plan heading into their Homecoming Game vs the Cowboys. One thing both MSU and WYO have in common, is a loss in Eugene, Oregon to the Oregon Ducks. MSU lost 46-27 in Week 2, then the Cowboys lost 48-14 in Week 3.
If Michigan State is to have any chance at the College Football Playoff, they’ll need to run the table the rest of the way. MSU will be sure not to overlook the run & gun Cowboys as State preps for their Big Ten portion of their schedule.
Prediction: Michigan State 38, Wyoming 17
