The Detroit Tigers have just passed the official halfway point of the 2015 regular season, sitting at 44-44 and 3rd place in the American League Central division. They have struggled to win games in bunches since their hot start in April.

The roster clearly has loads of stars and talent to make the postseason, but if the playoffs started today, they would find themselves sitting on the couches and watching both the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals make the playoffs, ending their four-year reign of representing the AL Central.

If the Tigers are going to make a push for the postseason, a lot of things will need to happen. Obviously there are numerous guys that need to perform better and the team as a whole needs to play better more consistently, limit the lapses. Some of those things may come from outside the organization, elsewhere around the league. With the trade deadline the last day of this month, you have to believe the Tigers are going to be buyers, despite the recent struggles. It’d be hard to imagine seeing this team struggle for the remainder of the season and just sell guys.

There has to be some bold statements made with this team. Things need to change and fast. Sitting 9.0 games out of the division lead with about half of a season to go, they need to turn it around and fast. So we’ve come up with some bold predictions for the remainder of the season.
