The Boston Red Sox have been surprisingly good in 2021 and they are currently trying to hold on to a 1.5 game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East.
With the MLB Trade Deadline coming on Friday afternoon, the Red Sox are reportedly looking to add a pitcher to the mix.
According to a report from Jon Morosi, the Red Sox have spoken to the Texas Rangers about a trade for All-Star pitcher Kyle Gibson.
In 19 starts this season, Gibson is 6-3 with a 2.87 ERA for a very bad Rangers team.
