Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes met with media members this afternoon to recap the season that wrapped up on Sunday with a victory over the division rival Green Bay Packers.
Of course, they had gotten unfortunate news following their Week 1 setback against the San Francisco 49ers as cornerback Jeff Okudah was ruled out for the remainder of the 2021 season thanks to an Achilles injury.
Holmes gave an optimistic update on Okudah’s rehabilitation from the injury, which he referred to as “devastating”.
“Jeff’s doing a nice job in his rehab,” Holmes said. “What I love about him is that he wanted to stay engaged and be around as much as possible. I just hated for him when he got the injury because he was in such a good place mentally and physically, and when he got hurt it was devastating.”
We’re certainly hoping to see a healthy Okudah on the field for the Lions in 2022.
Excited to see the comeback this coming season from Jefe
