Sometimes a trade can end up working out perfectly for both parties involved and though it is still very early, both Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes and Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay are very happy about the trade the two teams (officially) made prior to the 2021 NFL Draft.
During a recent interview, McVay talked about how he was in a better mood about the upcoming season as soon as he acquired Matthew Stafford in a trade that sent Jared Goff to the Lions.
But McVay is not the only one happy as Holmes ‘happiness’ with Goff reportedly rivals that of the Rams head coach happiness with Stafford.
From Detroit Free Press:
“There’s some things that I’ve seen in him this year that you can truly see, yes, there’s a chip on his shoulder that I hadn’t seen in a while,” Holmes said. “But there’s also a sigh of relief that I’ve seen. You can see, you can visibly see the breath of fresh air. You can visibly see the enjoyment of the ownership (in the offense) that he has.”
There is no question about it that when it comes to pure physical ability, Stafford is hands down the better quarterback, but at only 26 years of age, Goff still has time to emerge as a top 10 QB in the league.
LOL Stafford is “hands down the better QB” then why does he suck? A total choker. No Matt has the better arm, like Jeff George but that doesn’t make him the better QB. Do you really think old man Tom Brady has has the better arm? Than Aaron Rodgers? That’s OK you keep hating on Goff.
