On Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers traded closer Shane Greene to the Atlanta Braves. One player the Tigers got in return is Travis Demeritte.
According to Tigers GM Al Avila, Demeritte will join the team in Texas on Friday.

Demeritte, who is 24 years old, was originally selected by the Texas Rangers in the 1st Round of the 2013 MLB Draft.
In 96 games in Triple-A this season, he batted .286 with 20 home runs and 74 RBIs while posing a .944 OPS.
