After a horrendous 3-9 2016 season, the 2017 Michigan State football team bounced back rather nicely as they went 10-3 including a Holiday Bowl win over Washington State.

But the offseason has been a rather interesting one so far for the Spartans. First, it was freshman quarterback Messiah deWeaver who announced he was transferring and then it was fellow freshman Hunter Rison who confirmed what his father told a Lansing radio station the day before.

Now another Spartans player has decided to transfer.

On Friday night, Trishton Jackson hopped on Twitter to announce that he too is leaving the Michigan State football program.

“After much thought and consideration, I have decided to transfer from Michigan State University. I want to thank my coaches for the opportunity. I have had a great experience here and want to thank my teammates for the memories. I also want to thank Spartan Nation for all of your support and I will forever be a Spartan Dawg.”

In two seasons at Michigan State, Jackson caught 17 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown in 10 games played.
