In the second quarter of a 7-7 tie between the Michigan Wolverines and Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Jim Harbaugh inserted redshirt freshman Brandon Peters into the game to take over the offense.

Peters replaced John O’Korn, who was 3-for-6 for 13 yards in the game. Peters led an eight play, 77-yard touchdown drive that ended with a Karan Higdon 10-yard run. Peter was 3-for-3 for 37 yards in his first drive of the day.

The Wolverines got the ball back again, and Peters threw his first touchdown pass to Chris Evans to extend the lead to 21-7 before the half.

Peter ended the half 5-for 7 for 69 yards and that TD.
