BREAKING: Class of 2019 defensive lineman decommits from Michigan

As the University of Michigan football team continues to make their final preparations for Saturday’s game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Wolverines have learned that one of their recruits from the Class of 2019 has decided to decommit.

On Thanksgiving night, 3-star defensive lineman Tyrece Woods out of Belleville, Michigan, jumped on Twitter and announced he was de-committing from Michigan.

“I would like to thank Coach Harbaugh, the rest of the Michigan coaching staff and all of the fans for the hospitality and support over the last 4 months. Right now my family and I feel that it is in my best interest to de-commit from Michigan and re-open my recruitment and weigh all of my options. Please, no questions.”

TRADE RUMOR: Could Detroit Red Wings G Jimmy Howard be headed to Canada?

As it stands, the Calgary Flames are 12-8-1 which is currently good enough for the No. 4 seed in the NHL’s Western Conference.

But they have a problem with goaltending.

In 13 starts this season, Flames goaltender, Mike Smith has struggled to get the job done, as he has allowed 3.44 goals per game and has an abysmal save percentage of .876.

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Flames could soon be looking to trade for a goaltender and Detroit Red Wings netminder Jimmy Howard could be high on their list.

From Sportsnet:

Howard’s .922 save percentage in 14 games is one of the better marks in the league and he’s playing behind one of the most porous defence units that allows 35.2 shots against per game. Only twice this season has Howard allowed more than three goals a game and those came in his third and fourth starts of the season.
